Nature abhors a vacuum, if you do not aspire to kedusha there is no way to fulfill the rest of the mitzvos of the Torah. Rav Ahron gave this shiur in response to an objectionable letter in the Commentator. It is very powerful. The letter writer suggested that some mitzvos are 'obsolete' and suggested that it would be a good idea to introduce the study of Bible Criticism in Yeshiva College. Rav Ahron was quite upset about both ideas. He used the opportinity to discuss Kedusha in general with an emphasis on avoiding Avodah Zara and Arayos. He develops the historical connection between the rise of Biblical Criticism in Germany and the rise of the anti-semitism of the Nazis ym"sh.
