Description

A study of two teshuvot written by Rabbi Ephraim Oshry, Rabbi of the Kovno Ghetto. The shiur begins with brief biographical information as well and some study of the introduction to vol. I of the collection Sh"ut Mimamakim (6 volumes). The first teeshuva deals with the permissibility of doing a postmortem c section on a women murdered by the Nazis. The second teshuva deals with the permissibility of wearing teffilin before Bar Mitzvah asked by a 12 year old who feared he would not live to be 13.
