Description

In the his Intro to the Mishna the Rambam describes his view on the purpose of creation and the ultimate perfection humans should strive to achieve. In this shiur we explore, a number of ramafications the Rambam's Philosphy had on his views about Torah Study, the importance of philosophical speculation and how one should approach mundane activities such as eating, drinking, and sleeping. We contrast the view of the Rambam, with Ramchal in Mesilat Yesharim and Rabbi Nachman of Breslov.
