Description

King Solomon begins his peaceful reign with a political marriage to the daughter of the Pharaoh. How do we reconcile the description of Shlomo as one who loves Hashem with 1) pursuit of alliances with other nations, 2) pursuit of an alliance with Egypt, 3) marriage to a non-Jew, and 4) marriage to an Egyptian before three post-conversion generations have elapsed?
