Description

Interestingly, one opinion in the Gemara holds that Megillah is a substitute for Hallel on Purim. Similarly, the Megillah is read in a very specific way to highlight the miracles of the day. Other Halachos point to the fact that Mikra Megillah puts all of the other mitzvos of the day into the context of Nissim and Hoda'ah to Hashem.
