Description
Class #8 of a series on Sefer Tehillim. In this class, we examine chapter 48 of Tehillim, the Shir Shel Yom for Monday. We consider the notion of duality and division that characterizes the second day of Creation, and suggest a reading of the Mizmor which highlights competing perspectives on the significance of the city of Yerushalayim. We also explain Yerushalayim's significance as a bridge between heaven and earth, the two domains which had been separated on the second day of Creation.
