Description

This shiur begins by discussing the peace treaty made in Parshas Toldos between Yitzchak Avinu and Avimelech. Many mefarshim point out the hypocracy of Avimelech in this treaty. Yet, others explain this treaty in a more positive light. Similalry, the Rishonim disagree about certain acts of kindness found in the Gemara perforemd on behalf of non-Jews. Are these acts of kindness idealistic in nature, or are they simply an effort to prevent danger?
