Description

In her eulogy for her son Hersh, Rachel Polin-Goldberg asked Hersh to have his light shine down on her. What is this light that she and all of us seek? How do we find God's light in all the darkness - key is "tamim tihyeh im Hashem Elokecha" - being tamim - according to Rav Hirsch, being in the moment. In Elul, the King is in the "sadeh," the field and our challenge is to be "tamim" not just on the "ohel," in the tent, but to go out into the field and be "tamim."
