Description

This shiur discusses the mitzvah for a person to remain home during the first year of marriage as opposed to fighting in war. After October 7th, many men had to leave their wives during shana rishona in order to fight. This speaks to the commitment and devotion that so many have shown towards Eretz Yisrael during the current war. The shiur focuses on the need for one to fully commit when it comes to marriage and avodas Hashem in general. Similarly, the concept of commitment is a major part of Teshuvah as our relationship with Hashem is compared to a marriage.
