The pasuk tells us that Noach was a tzaddik in his generation. Rashi tells us that some say that "in his generation" (bedorotav) is a positive and some say it's a negative. The Ta'ama Dikra (Rav Chaim Kanievsky) explains in the name of his uncle, the Chazon Ish.
