This is the finale of the 5-shiur winter 5785 series of Wednesday Night Nach at Beth Abraham, "Coming Home: War, Nisyonos and Leadership in the 1st National Aliya", which explored the opening half of Sefer Yehoshua. *** This closing shiur focussed primarily on the successful second battle at Ai (perek 8), as well as the aftermath (perakim 9-12) - peace and alliance with Givon, war with the 31 kings and the neis of the sun-moon standstill - and how the themes of Torah, truth and the intermingling of open miracles and natural order are at the root of these stories of Yehoshua as well as the stories and nissim of Chanukka and of the past 15 months.
