If you're not even a Kohen + you don't say it like ברכת כוהנים, R' Moshe Sternburch thinks that there's no reason to worry that you are mimicking a Kohen: א. הרב משה שטרנבוך [תשובות והנהגות א/תר"ז]- מה שנהגו לברך הבנים בנוסח "יברכך" בליל שבת וכדומה; נראה שלא נתכוונו בגדר "ברכת כהנים" שלא מקפידים על כהן כלל ולכן אין לחשוש... אבל כשמקפיד שכהן דווקא יברך, ובגדר ברכת כהנים, נראה שאין לנהוג כן, שגורע ממצות ה' כשאינו מברך באופן שמצותה בכך
