Description

Hasra'ah discerns between shogeg and meizid: Shogeg = forgotten halakha, unawareness of the victim's identity, unawareness that this action results in fatal injury, disregard for halakha on account of passion, low-level responsibility since nobody showed they cared. Meizid = knowledge of halakha, of the victim's identity, of actions' consequences, intent to anger Hashem, high-level responsibility.
