Description

Once again the Rav contrasts Ish Halacha with the universal man of religion. They move in opposite directions. In his analysis of the Man of Halacha, the Rav identifies the central symbol of Halachic Man's world-view as the Mishkan. Moshe Rabeinu, and later Shlomo HaMelech, ar perplexed by the paradox of infinite God resided in finite space.Yet God declares I am not of the same opinion as you. In this context, the mysterious concept of tzimtzum - contraction - becomes primary. Infinity contracts itself. The concept of Kedusha will be a central theme of this shiur.
