Description

In Part I, we studied the Braita of "Liba VeLibta HaRuach" and concluded that in defining the action of man in the creation of the damage of "Aish", the human act of blowing the fire must have the potential to create the aish without the help of the wind. If the wind is necessary to complete the creation of the fire, the man is exempt since he did not single handedly create the Aish. In this shiur, we will analyze the proof brought by the Sugya from the violation of Melachet Zoreh, i.e. winnowing, to integrate the wind into the human action. In three out of four answers the Amoraim accept the proof & establish that the wind is considered his action. We will analyze these three statements according to Rashi, the Ri, & Tos'.
