Description
In the third shiur in a series on defining the action of man in Damages & Melachet Shabbat, we will analyze the two questions fired at Ravina from Melechet Zoreh & Getz, and Ravina's defense against these onslaughts. We will set up three levels: 1) Integration, i.e. Koach Acher MeUrav Bo; 2) Inevitability, i.e. the knowledge of the active agent that the wind will do what it does is sufficient to apply Koach Acher even when the wind is working in the opposite direction of the man - the exception will be two cheftzot in the case of Abaye in Bava Kama (Tos'); 3) Intention, i.e. man utilizing the force of nature to achieve his goal - this will explain Ravina's opinion. We will end the shiur with one question regarding Rav Ashi in B"k and B"B.
