The 11th Chapter of Sefer Bamidbar opens with the sins of the Mitonenim & the Mitavin. In this shiur we will try to understand these events and their connection to the 20th of the month of Sivan, a day proclaimed by the Gedolim of the 17th century as a fast day of the destruction of Jewish communities in Poland & the Ukraine. We will attempt to understand why is it that rather than appreciate what men has, he complains about what he does not have. The key sources for this shiur will be the Ramban on BaHa'alotcha & the Chovat HaLevovot.
