The requirement of sequence which disqualifies LiMafrei'ah applies to Megila, Hallel, Kriat Shema, and Tfilla. The author of the Turei Even will distinguish between the law of Megila and that of Shema & justify the need for a derivation for the psul of LiMafrei'ah in Megila. He will also offer an alternative to Rashi's understanding of LiMafrei'ah in Kriat Shema. In this shiur we will analyze the the issue of languages with regard to universal Krias HaTorah & Kriat Shema, the controversy between Reby & the Rabanan. We will study the possible defenses for Rashi who surprisingly defines Krias HaTorah as a mitzva Deoraita.
