Description

The sugya in Megilla 17b: addresses the issue of the sequence of the brachot that make up the Tefilla & what happens if one recites the Shmoneh Esrei out of order. In this shiur we will study the controversy between Rashi & Tos' regarding the case of one who reminded himself that he omitted one of the middle brachot, one of the bakashot. Can he simply recite the bracha and continue or must he go back to that place in the tefilla where he skipped a bracha and begin again from that point? In the latter part of the shiur we address the meaning of the first bracha, Avot. How is the praise for our Avot a praise for HaShem?
