Description

Rashi writes that Rebby Yossi would have tashbisu on "Yom HaRishon" if not for "Ach - chilaik" and the mitzvah would be fulfilled on the "Bein HaShmashot" entering into the 15th. This option is not acceptable for Abaye on the previous daf. Why not? This will lead us to the fundamental chakira of the Minchat Chinuch regarding the nature of Tashbisu. Rashi on Rebby Akiva explains how all is well on "Yom HaRishon" if Tashbisu can be fulfilled by feeding the dogs or throwing the chometz into the sea. We will study this Rashi carefully. Why is burning chometz a violation of Havara since the latter requires intent to enhance the flame whereas here his interest is in the destruction of the chometz?
