Description

When the chulda hides chometz in the house, does the owner violate Bal Yaraeh? Tos' seems to contradict himself on this very issue. When the behaima leaves the chometz exposed, is bittul effective? Both Rashi & Tos' assume that bittul would protect him from Bal Yaraeh. Rabbenu Dovid maintains that bittul will not be effective in this case. Why do we allow the owner of the chometz to feed the animal? We will study four possible answers. Do the chachomim allow for tashbisu thru burning? According to the opinion that burning is acceptable, are the ashes of the burnt chometz permissible? Reb Chaim analyzes the din of Nisrafim and offers two definitions of mitzvas Tashbisu using the concept of kiyum bacheftza.
