Co-sponsored by Yeshiva University’s Program for Jewish Genetic Health, YU Connects, Congregation Keter Torah, Congregation Beth Abraham, and the Rabbinical Council of Bergen County, this panel discussion focused on some of the halachic, psychological, and practical issues that arise when considering one’s moral obligation to disclose medical and or genetic issues in the family to potential shidduchim. Panelists discussed issues such as hereditary cancers and mental illness in the family.
