20 Minute Halacha - The White Shul - CORRECTION - In the end of the shiur, someone asked when to observe Yartzeit if the person passed away in a shanah meuberes? Would the Rema be machmir in such a case as well to observe in both months or not? There is a machlokes about this very case regarding Bar Mitzvah as well. The Magen Avraham and other achronim disagree. In that case, most achronim assume that only the real date is observed and we would not wait until adar sheini. I wasnt sure if the same would apply for yartzeit. I later saw that the Rema in Yo"d 402 writes that in such a case, only the original yartzeit is observed and one would not have to observe yartzeit in both.
