Description

The goal of this shiur is to Define the Issur tiltul of Klei She'Melachto L'Issur. Is this a specific application of the Issur Muktza, or is it a Gezeira of Tiltul Keilim which was originally enacted by Nechemya? The Sefer Minchas Ariel claims that although the Ritva, the Ran, and others identify a separate category of Klei She'Melachto L'Issur, the Tos' Rid, the Mordechai, the Rashba and even Rashi, define Klei She'Melachto L'Issur as muktza, and Rebby Shimon would deny the existence of this Issur. We find this a very difficult position to validate; there are too many clear-cut indications that Klei She'Melachto L'Issur is not Muktza, but rather a vestige of the original Gezeira of Nechemya. The proof is from L'Tzorech Gufo UMekomo.
