Description
Chapter 15, pages 36-37. Mashiach is waiting for the Jewish people's will to be pure. This means that their only care for redemption is to return and cleave to God. Plan A is the straight and narrow path, consisting of returning out of love. Plan B is a roundabout method, consisting of audacity (chutzpa) and heresy (kfira). The main characteristic of heresy and and audacity is liberated passion. This person is free from outside influences, only listening to his or her voice. Exile is a life without a will, being told who and what to worship. If treated correctly kfira leads to a passionate relationship with God, redemption. If not, kfira descends into the dirt. In order to bring redemption, pure passion for God must be aroused again.
