Pitchei Choshen 2:17 - What sort of food allowance is provided for a borrower, when his assets are taken to pay his debts? Is he given the means to maintain his normal standard of living, or is he made to conform to a standard amount? Is the practice of providing an allowance an act of tzedakah, or a law in lending?
