We will complete our discussion of Avot V'Toadot and analyze the question of a Hasra'ah for a Toldah, need it be BeShem HaAv, i.e. must there be mention of the Av or is it sufficient to mention the name of the Toldah alone. Tos' vacillates about this question. The issue is the essential definition of a Toldah and its relationship to the Av. We will see that this question is relevant to Chataos as well. The Ramban's issue can a toldah constitute a violation of two different Avos will be seen in the light of our two definitions of a Toldah. We will study the chiddush of Rabbenu Avraham ben HaRambam regarding Meleches Cholev.
