      Just to add to the confusion, I think it's noteworthy that the Aruch HaShulchan says:

      הציצית צריך להיות משני מינין מחוטי לבן ומחוטי תכלת כדכתיב ונתנו על ציצית הכנף פתיל תכלת ורש"י ותוס' כתבו בר"פ התכלת דבעינן שני חוטי לבן ושני חוטי תכלת והרמב"ם ריש הל' ציצת כתב חוט אחד של תכלת וג' לבן
