Description

We will study the opinion of Rabenu Chananel and the Rambam regarding adding a fifth Min, would there be a Psul? As opposed to Tos' who maintain that although a 5th min would constitute a violation of Bal Tosif, nevertheless the kiyum hamitzva will be obtained since the four minim were K'shairim. According to these Rishonim the Mitzva is Pasul. Yet, the sugya in Sanhedrin establishes that there is no chiyuv zaken Mamre for adding the fifth min since the mitzva is not Pasul.
