Description
The topic of this shiur is Shvitat Keilim, which according to Beit Shammai, enjoins us from Melacha being done with our utensils. We analyze the case where a Jew rents his keilim to a non-Jew knowing that the latter will do Melacha on Shabbat with the Jew's utensils. Is this a violation of Shvitat Kelim, and if so, under what conditions? We will study the law of shvitat behemto, and try to determine if the owner of the animal is required to guarantee that his animal is in a state of rest on Shabbat, and how does this compare to shvitat keilim of Beit Shammai?
