In this shiur on Muktzah, we will try to arrive at an understanding of the Machloket between Rebby Yehuda & Rebby Shimon regarding muktza in the cases of Kelim & Ochlin. We will review the basics of last week's shiur, i.e. R' Yehuda requires - in Ochlin - a positive act of Hachana (gavra), whereas R' Shimon maintains that the object, insofar as it is edible, achieves Hachana on its own (cheftza). Today we will address the case of Muktza machmat Issur or machmat mitzva, a situation of a lit Ner, which even R' Shimon admits is Muktza. We will discuss the q': is there Muktza in Kelim? We will see a certain similarity between R' Shimon in Machmat Issur & R' Yehuda in the case of Keilim, e.g. a utensil that was put aside for use during Chol.
