Description

The first half of this shiur will be a continuation of the sugya we began two days ago, namely, Sichah KeShesiya. Is this DeOraisa of D'abanan? Rabenu Tam draws his conclusion based on the sugya in Kritot which addresses the case of Sicha of Teruma. This is very difficult since sicha on the part of a zar (non-kohen) is clearly an Issur DeOraisa. Based on tools for Brisk we will see that there are two dimensions to the Issur Zar in Teruma & these do no always co-exist. In the second part of the shiur we will offer an Introduction to the sugya of Chinuch and demonstrate that our mishna re: training the children to fast some hours of Y"K is clearly a unique category of Chinuch similar to the case of separating a child from non-Kosher food.
