P. 121. The power of imagination needs to be used, but with caution. Through our senses we can be attuned to what is going on around us. All of these same five senses also exist on higher levels, not only on the physical. The word for imagination, 'dimion' is from the word 'domeh', similar. Imagination is making a mental picture and matching it to something previously known. When a wrong match or association gets made between two things can cause a person suffering throughout their life. The power of the sechel (mind) is higher than the power of dimion, and can thus resolve imaginations that are not connected with reality. The onslaught of images is a siman (sign) of the return of nevuah through the power of dimion, when Moshiach comes.
