Description
P. 133. Continuing in the ma'amar Chacham v'Tam. Women generally have an easier time to focus on one inyan (idea). With friendships, like learning, there are two ways to be - to have a lot of friends, or to have one very close true friend. There are also different ways to deal with tefillah - davening all sorts of tefillos (prayers) for special occasions, versus taking one tefillah for the special occasion and focusing on it. The word 'tam' cannot be translated into English, but it is a person who has intelligently chosen the way of simplicity. The chacham (sophisticate) is always chasing the sparkle and shine of Torah ideas without delving into their depth, to feeling the nekudas haemes (point of truth) that is in this moment of life. The tam is always seeking the inner point to serving Hashem in his heart.
