A man has two wives- their physical spouse and their neshama (soul). A man also has two maidservants- the animal soul and the yetzer hara (evil inclination). Secular studies are like a “maidservant”. Tzaddik (righteous holy Jew) sees everything in this world as a means of serving Hashem. Lighting the Chanukah menorah at the door to shine to all Jews.
