Everyone experiences the redemption in a different way. The redemption is determined by the exile we are in. The Tzaddik is awaiting redemption so that he can serve Hashem without restrictions. It is very discouraging for a BT (returner to Jewish observance) or a Ger (convert) to be with people who are not “with it.” It is a merit to live in America which obligates us to ask why are we “free”?
