Description

Continuation with the fourth chapter in the sixth Torah of Likutei Maharan (the magnum opus of Rebbe Nachman). Halacha (Jewish Law) directs us how to act, and where to go, at every moment of our lives. We have to be proficient in the means with which we can draw closer to G-d, and we have to be proficient in the approaches that we can use when we feel distant from G-d. When we feel close to G-d, we must remember how much more we still have to accomplish. When we fall, we have to remind ourselves how quickly we can rise up again. Rebbi Akiva managed to climb out of a place which was so distant from G-d. The embarrassment we experience in the process of teshuvah (repentance) is often a product of our own failures. We have to patiently endure all the set-backs that encumber our attempts at teshuvah and to readily pick ourselves up and try again.
