Description

We read a prayer from Likutei Tefillos (the magnum opus of prayers from Rebbe Nachman). We ask G-d to remove all hardships that prevent us from truly entering Eretz Yisrael (Land of Israel) and to bestow upon us a genuine love for the land. Rebbe Nachman repeatedly declared that he understood the terrible dangers of the journey, but nonetheless felt a strong need to be In Eretz Yisrael. Rebbe Nachman chose the quickest but most dangerous route to Istanbul. Rebbe Nachman did not allow anyone to read the teachings that he composed during his trip to Eretz Yisrael. The ship to Istanbul was hit by a terrible storm but eventually arrived at its destination. Two Russian Jews taunted Rebbe Nachman terribly in Istanbul. Rebbe Nachman said that he had to suffer embarrassment in order to reach Eretz Yisrael. Throughout the trip to Eretz Yisrael, Rebbe Nachman acted like a child.
