Description

Reb Nosson described the setting and time in which this Torah was delivered. Rebbe Nachman declared that there is no reason for people to learn from a simpleton like himself, and he said that he is only alive because of Eretz Yisrael (Land of Israel.) Every Jewish community and Torah establishment is a way station on the Jewish nation's journey to Israel. Through Eretz Yisrael we have the power to conquer the entire world. It was an especially joyous Shabbos with Rebbe Nachman and the teaching greatly encouraged all the listeners. Sometimes the tzaddik (righteous person) is a very simple person. If Torah is our lifeline, how are we able to stop learning in order to tend to our needs? The simple people are sustained by the simple tzaddik (righteous person).
