Description

Before the Torah was given, it was hidden within the otzar matnas chinam (storehouse of a free gift) of the Ten Utterances Of Creation. When a tzaddik is forced to be occupied with derech eretz (the mundane), he vitalizes himself from the otzar matnas chinam. When the tzaddik needs to descend into simplicity, (like Mordechai and Esther), he vitalizes all the simple folk in the world, including the non-Jews. Simplicity and the mundane are connected to traveling to Israel. Mordechai and Esther were descendants of Binyamin, who was born on the way back from Israel. The Rebbe acted simply on his trip to Eretz Yisrael.
