Description
Avraham imparted to the Jew the essence of knowing that everything comes from Hashem. On Shabbos we do no melacha (work), make no effort , since it is all from Hashem. Avraham, the epitome of Chessed (loving-kindness) saw himself as empty, and became the epitome of giving. Abraham's heart burned with the love of Hashem. He approached Hashem with the newness of the morning, establishing Shacharis since everything is from Hashem. Yitzchak is the chariot in which gevurah (restraint) ride establishing Mincha. "Strength" is overcoming the yetzer hara. Yitzchak is the manifestation of our developing our self through our own effort to fear Hashem. Yitzchak invested gevurah into the Jewish psyche. Only the Jew can permanently love Hashem because true love can only exist between those who are similar.
