Is "tavlin" a spice, an enhancement, or is it an antidote, a way to cover and mask an unpleasant taste? Torah is the tavlin for the yetzer harah (evil inclination) but that does not mean that simply occupying oneself with Torah eliminates the yetzer harah. It's not about distracting us from doing the wrong thing, it's about fixing the yetzer harah and turning everything to kedushah (holiness). That which as damaging us is now healing us. The snake, a source of healing. It's not the computer that kills the person, it's the cheit (sin) that kills the person. The terrible degradation of wanting to establish chiloni-free (secular free) neighborhoods. Any Jew that ever saw the Gestapo will ever say about another Jew "Gestapo." The true power of Torah. If Torah were to be let loose upon the world, no Jew would be able to withstand it - we would all be smitten by its beauty.
