Description

Teshuvah (repentance) is a uniquely Jewish experience. Individual teshuvah affects Klal Yisrael because of the interconnection of all Jewish souls. The story of the Talmudic sage, Reb Eliezer ben Durdaya, revealed how the world guided him to realize he must effect our own teshuvah. Temple's destruction brought degeneration to the world. Most people wait for the external stimulus to teshuvah. In the very act of the aveira (sin) , it is possible to hear the call to teshuvah.
