A thought of teshuvah (repentance) gives a person the feelings of inner peace and kavod rosh (seriousness). What does it mean to have menucha (inner peace) on Shabbos? We would have real happiness if we would be the people that we want to be. If we are holding on to the edge of the truth we already have a connection with the whole thing. Jews are blessed to have permanent value.
