Anger and sadness cause both spiritual and physical sickness. Rav Kook explains that wickedness comes from within a person. When our desires are strong enough then we can overcome the darkness that causes us to sin. The wicked are unable to exercise free will. The righteous possess true joy of life and urge us to come join with them in the celebration of life.
