Description

Embarrassment of sin shows that we are distancing ourself from sin. Sometimes we are so ashamed that we mentally repress the sin and deny that something happened. Instead of using guilt to get closer to G-d, we use guilt to cover up our sins. Arrogance is the opposite of shame. We must not feel too sad since this will overpower our feelings to do teshuvah.
