Description

A thin line separates merirus (bitterness) from atzvus (sadness). Merirus over our sins leads to the simchah (joy) of reuniting with our Father. Atzvus, which comes from self-centeredness, is the source of all bad midos (traits). Sadness comes from thinking that nothing is good because it's not the way I want it. After a fight between loved ones comes new joy. Merirus should be taken in small doses. The Pesach Seder takes us through the process of repentance. Sin makes us anxious which can only be healed through repentance . Nonreligious therapists miss the boat. Sin distorts our handwriting, speech, and appearance.
