Description

We cannot rely on a good mussar schmooze (ethical discourse) to solidify our yiddishkeit. We must come closer to Hashem by truly serving Him internally. Christianity stresses the absolvement of sin, enabling its followers to live an unholy life and legitimize it. Chassidus can’t be superficial. We shouldn't become overly attracted to the sweet divrei (words of) Torah that make us feel that no matter what we do Hashem loves us. We must study halacha (Jewish laws), rather than become attracted to the "mystical" parts of Torah. If we do Teshuvah at the very end of our life it validates our whole existence and elevates it retroactively.
