We should never feel that Hashem isn’t paying attention to us. When we feel we made a baby step, it could be miles in the higher world. Whenever we can blame our shortcomings on others, we do. Even though we do bad things, it doesn’t mean we should give up! Sometimes we just need a push up, not a put down. Mechazek (strengthen) ourselves! Dovid HaMelech (King David) was very close to being an oved Avodah Zarah (worshipping idols).
