Description

The true, inner self of a person, his neshoma (soul), is eternal and pure. Misuse of the word "ani" (I) to identify the body rather than the soul. From childhood to adulthood - the internal conflict of "knowing" that my ani is "bad" and wanting to conform to what is expected of me - what a mistake. My pure neshama is enclothed in a body which is a wreck. Our task: extract the bad and reveal the pure goodness within ourselves. It is not just about behavioral change or acquiring things/character traits that we don't already have. An aveira (transgression) is superficial and can be cleaned up, but it never touches our pure neshoma. Making others wait - a form of laziness. The path to a split personality - what his friends and neighbors see, and what he really is. The only way - knowing with absolute certainty that only the body, but never the soul, can become defiled.
